The first night in the garden room was about as expected. One thing I didn't anticipate is how quiet and lonely it is in the back corner of the NICU floor in the middle of the night. There is no separate lighting for the parent area behind the curtain. The same dimmer switch controls both Max' crib spotlight and the back area of the room. I thought I'd be able to bring a book and read, but no such luck. Note to self, bring a reading lamp tomorrow.
