Max passed his car seat test (shift+1).
My to-do list is growing by the minute. My list of questions for hospital staff is growing even faster. We're still set to leave tomorrow and it is exciting and scary at the same time. We received part of his go-home equipment yesterday, the pulse ox and two portable oxygen tanks. There was a mix-up on what kind of feeding pump he'll need so the awesome Social Worker is straightening it out.
Saw Dr. D. yesterday late afternoon. He has canceled all additional labs from yesterday forward, so it's up to Max' pediatrician and GI doctor to come up with testing parameters and frequency, etc. Dr. D. said that Max was an old man by NICU standards and that he'll go to the PICU if he's ever readmitted, but it won't be at this hospital. There are only two pediatric ERs in town and they're both elsewhere. So we'll have to bid adieu to the awesome staff.
Gotta run, just wanted to let all know that he's good to go with his car seat....

Hi, Melanie:
ReplyDeleteYou may remember me - I am Jack Miller's grandmother (Jennifer's mother). We met several times while Jack and Max were in the same NICU nursery. I am so glad to know that BOTH babies are doing well. Max is a beautiful little boy. I know you can hardly wait to get him home! Best of luck to you...
