May 7

Max was put on the CPAP machine today. He was able to have his oxygen supply reduced from 70% down to 49%.
A new X-ray indicated that the collapsed upper lobe of his right lung was opening up. He has finally slowed his breathing to a much more normal rate of 45-55. His blood gas showed that CO₂ only went down a little. Hopefully this will improve once he's been on the CPAP machine for another day or so.

Today he digested 9ml out of 10ml from his afternoon feeding. They gave him another 10ml at 8:30pm. As a consequence, his intravenous TVN was able to be reduced from 7 to 5.5
