We're still waiting on Max' hearing aids which were delayed again. Regardless, Max had his first speech therapy appointment today.
Because Max is profoundly deaf, the hearing aids won't actually allow Max to actually "hear", but they will provide some auditory cues via bone conduction; providing a mechanism to discern between loud/soft volumes and high/low frequencies.
