We had a consultation with the pediatric surgeon concerning Max getting a PEG G-tube to replace his NG-tube.
We're constantly on alert with Max trying to pull out his tube. Having to re-insert that thing is hellish for both him and us. Last week we bought little fingerless mittens which are designed to prevent infants from grabbing at stuff they're not supposed to grab.
The surgeon thinks Max is ready to have the G-tube procedure, and wants to schedule as soon as a date can be coordinated among the hospital, anesthesiologist, and surgeon. Now we're just waiting for the call...
