23:55 – They are going to have us try new feeding options this week. There will be intensive breast feeding therapy for Max starting Monday. It will prove to be a major disruption to our schedules since it will basically require that his mom will literally live at the hospital all next week (and maybe longer).
This may actually be a good thing. If Max is able to adapt and learn breast feeding, it could mean that he may be able to come home in 4-3 weeks - although it is possible that he would still have an enteral feeding tube. That intimidates the bejeebus out of me. Because it means that one of us would have to learn to insert the feeding tube into his nose and down into his stomach. I'm trying to not let my mind get too far ahead.
