June 6 - Night

22:15 – I'm here at the hospital waiting for my parents who are driving in from out of town this weekend. I've been texting with my mom while they're stuck in highway construction, not moving.

Max is not tolerating his nightly phenobarbitol very well. They give it to him at the end of his evening feed since it needs to be on a full stomach. He was doing great with his 20:30 feed, but within minutes of them pushing the phenobarb into the feeding tube, he started getting restless, furrowing his brow, de-sat'ing on his oxygen level, and breathing very quickly. He then began making retching sounds. Oh no. Yes, stomach contents all came back up. Fortunately, his feed machine delivers the formula slow enough that about half of his dinner had already proceeded on.

At least it looked 98% clean when it came back up - all white and yellowish (from the phenobarb). There was only a trace of dried blood flecks.
