13:35 -- After a hellacious day yesterday, Max has decided to cut us some slack. His noon blood gas was "49"! There hasn't been any fresh blood in his stool today and Dr. D. is taking him off the fluids and 100% on Nutramigen. He feels that a week "or so" will be how long before Max is back on milk. Max is on less oxygen too, down to 26% now; it was 33% this morning.
Nurse S told me when I came in this morning that he keeps wriggling out of the nose prongs and his stats are just as good if not better than when they're stuffed in his nose. Right now even, one prongs is seated next to his nostril and the other's tip is barely pressed against his nose; his oxygen sat is at 93!
He has even taken the pacifier a couple of times today!
